today’s the last day that anyone would see me in my long long curly hair..there’s a saying which goes.. the pastures always greener on the other side.. just like when im eating dinner with my sis, her fried rice will look more delicious than my hor fun.. and we’ll end up eating each other’s food..

for the past 3 weeks girls with short hair has been turning my head..no worries im 100% lesbo not… haha… i just feel that girls wioth short hair has a certain X factor in them.. i want that too.. i tried ways & means to hide my long hair to make it short but to no avail.. my irritating sis will always say im  a big time poser.. but .. im really very sick & tired of this dead hair of mine.. ive thought for days & weeks.. …. it’s really a diff decision coz ive been growing it for 2 years.. i grew it so hrad & long… & finally to that length.. ive convinced my self yesterday that i shouldnt cut it.. & that i look fine with the sexy curls..

but i actually cut it today..coz im so sick of having this thought all the time.. just snip it off so i’ll not think of it anymore..

i passed by chapter 2 at bugis and i just stormed in the shop.. and i say i wanna have my hair cut..

"did u make an appt?"

"no"

"are you looking for any hairstylist in particular?"

"erm.. is there an ivan here?"

hahahahahha..  surprisingly there’s another ivan in chapter 2.. so cool.. i think all ivans in the world are great hair stylist!

yep.. i had my tress snipped off..i looked at the dead hair on the floor.. i felt so sad.. these are hair of memories..

BUT.. ive gotta new look! i think ivan’s the best.. it’s a clean look that ive got.. and i felt so much lighter…& my sis say i look like 小丸子lah!

ariane… you better not think of wanting long hair right now.. it’ll be another year later…….but at least.. im back to the decent guai guai sch girl look now.. =P

as usual.. lectures begins at 8am.. & some how or rather, the 8am lect is espectially cold and quiet in LT23.. no one talks in the LT.. and many would just doze off .. and i’ll try soooo hard to keep awake.. i remember i jus walk out of the LT one day just to sleep in the library..midnight oil for reports the night before.. had brekky with the gals the the pink tables.. cool ppl usually hang out at the pink tables.. haha.. i’ll get to meet lotsa ppl there.. sandy WH etc..and you could just yak abt anything..

went library after brekky to do journal reading… HF joined me.. and i met my fav jo in there.. haha.. i tink i very bad.. keep disturbing her.. after i was done with my journal and lazing ard in the library..

4 hrs of break passes very fast..& back to LT23 agn.. 3242 is more rowdy.. and would really pay attn to dr ship.. yeah.. but sometimes her pronounciation can be quite irritating.. she’s pronounce "H" as "hurge" …H value.. i’l interpret as hurge value.. wonder if sh’es local..that reminded me of my lectures with prof jaenicke.. he’lll say nitrogen as ‘neetrogee’.. & for half of the lect i thought it was some new element from the periodic table.. haha

after lecture ended.. LT & me wnet to the pink tables again for project discussion.. both of us are really efficient.. we just get things done soon after & went shopping at sci bazaar! yay!

LT’s my best pal.. gonna miss her after we graduate.. she wont be gg for commencement for she’ll be in US for work & travel..

next week’s almost the last lect for every module… sobs…

well.. today’s the typical thur for me.. i must remember what i do on this day.. thu starts at 10am for me.. and im always a little late for my bahasa class. thank goodness ibu lucy is a kind lady who will always be forgiving.. hee.. arts is further than science.. thu’s TB class is more interesting.. cos i prefer ibu lucy.. more interactions..

went for lunch at engin w gam, ZP & WT.. yep.. and as usual when guys get together they only talk abt 2 things.. girls & army..haha.. and this time they yak abt their army days.. leaving me to rot.. no la.. actually is pretty interestin to hear their stories..

afterwhich i went to sci lib to mug.. hmm.. to do my bahasa tutorial.. i forgot to do last wk.. & is kinda embarrassing when it’ s my turn to give the ans.. not very polite to peep at my partner’s book. hhaha.. anyway..ibu lucy is very nice.. sometimes i d really focus so much on my chemistry till i forget abt my breadth module..

at 2pm i went to NUH for lecture.. kinda weird.. my GEM1541 is held at NUH conference room..  prof singh is my fav prof.. very articulate & never fails to make lectires so interactive.. always full of qs from our class.. but dunno y today’s lect was especially empty.. everyone must have pontang… hee.. intesting the module as it may be.. i find it hard to conquer the ZzzZz monster after lunch.. richard & me just cant seem to keep awake..

went to swim with edda & stella today.. & finally stella brought her swim suit.. yeah.. edda’s really sweet to bring her delicious breads for us.. her bread rocks.. being a food sci major is so cool.. fancy baking bread for honours proj.. hahah.. everything’s edible in her lab.. everythng’s poisonous in OUR lab.. perhaps only deionsied water is edible then.. =)

wednesday is a super sian day.. it’s supposed to be my free day, but out came a bahasa tutorial which deprived me of my free day.. argh.. the worst thing about this is that my tutorial starts at 9am.. & end at 10.. attendance taken..l wld hafta travel 3 hrs in all for just a 45 min tut which i cant skip ..and this morning, i cursed at everything i could when i woke up.. because it was raining this morning.. i really feel like skippin it altogether.. & i’ll just drag my feet & definitely show my black face..yeah.. wednesday blues..

tutorial ended at 10am.. and i havent finish my lab report.. it’s super tedious and so much calculations which is driving me crazy.. and i just end up ‘ctrl C/ ctrl V’ for most of the parts especially for discussion section.. it is super time consuming to link theory & expt .. and v draining too.. haha.. if i were to submit my lab report for ‘turn it in’ then i’ll be charged with at least 85% plagiarism.. wahaha.. and my reference i’ll just quote my senior’s name.. thank goodness it’s in hard copy that i submit..

anyway after tutorial, i would usually meet up with stella for brekky or just head straight to cblc / math lab to do my report..afterwhich it depends.. i would then go for a swim in src ..

hmm.. anyway.. this is my last lab report in my entire life.. (?) and i’ll miss the times when i just whine at every lab report for my entire stint in nus..

tues is a sian day for me.. imagine 8 am lecture.. it’s my CM3225 biomolecules lecture.. and karen mak starts promptly at 8 am.. imgaine.. ahving to climb outta bed at 6 am when the sun is not up is almost impossible.. cant imagine if i were to work in jurong islang /tuas.. pasir ris.. omg.. journey to the west..

in anyway.. i would mostly be wee bit late.. abt 815ill reach.. cos of the stupid 95.. and the human jam.. and today i was super late.. i was only there at 850.. i wantedc to make a grand entrance from the front door and sashay down the aisle.. but i didnt have the guts to do so..LH was later than i am.. she skipped it altogether.. huifen is the best.. she stays in pasir ris & alwasy super early to help us chope seats..hahah..engchye is worse.. i nv see him since dunno when.. tink he’s declaredW or F grade for 3225.. haha.. & kevin is always late.. daniel is as attentive & shaoxiong is sleepy all d time..

dr mak speaks w a strong HK accent and she loves to s pe a k s l o w  l y.. and loves to repeat her phrases.. whihc makes me easeir to take down notes.. and she dosnt give breaks.. sianzz..

after that we’ll head down to pink tables  again.. and have our brekky.. & my fav chicken chop with coffee.. we’ll yak a bit till about 11am.. and then either go to the library to sleep or to do my lab report at the math lab.. but in the end i’ll end up wasting my time away & dunno what i did in that 4 hr break and off i head to LT23 for CM3242.. my fav DR ship’s lect.. intru anal..

yep… and i’ll hang around with the guys then.. and they will all disappear until lect start at 2pm.. and garry will forever forget to print his notes.. and LT dunno whr she go.. haha.. and during lect break the guys will do their ‘usual leisure stuff’ and then garry will come back askin me for sweets to clear his breath…& daniel & garry is forver havingthis ‘cat fight’.. well.. i also dunno what exaclty is btw them.. guys.. haha…

after IA2 would be our bahasa.. LT & me will always travel together & she’ll die die also wanna wait for bus D.. haha.. and will alwasy catch up w our latest gossips.. bitches we r..

LAB2201 bahasa indo is fun.. ibu fanny has been my teacher for 2 sems le.. and im alwys so sleepy then.. will feel hungry & tired by then.. i hate the ‘omong-omong’ (discussion) session & the writing part.. sianz… i prefer her to talk & i do all the listening.. & stella & me will end up anyhow fix a sentence & get it over & done with..

yep.. my day ends with a hungry stomach & tired mind…& hafta finish my lab report by wed.. argh..shucks.. havent do my bahasa tutorial..

before i grad.. i must record dwon what i did everyday of the wk.. cos in case memory fades away overtime..

every monday is my lab session.. starts from 10am… in analytical lab.. hmm.. will always meet jasmine and all at the 95 bus stop.. and then we would be punctually on time..

im really happy to see my lab friends YL HF.. my dearest lab partners.. and then we will be busy meddling with the machines all day trying to figure out if the readings are ‘theoretically correct’.. but most of the time i’ll be half dead .. monday blues.. and the half read lab maunals rendered me quite blur at the beginnig of eeach expt.. and happily out of the lab at the end of the day craving for lunch..

a few blundders will be made here & there.. like how to really use the micro pipette..playing with the gloves, fighting for machines, joke with one another ard in the lab.. and the funniest & stupid mistake made was after YL pipetted the NaNO3 into the vol flask and i emptied them all thinking that it was left over water from the washings.. i mean accidents DO happen when comm break down.. haha..

after that at about 2 to 3 pm,we’ll head down to the pink tables in sci to have our lunch or all the way to engin canteen for our fav indo grilled chicken set/chop..

and then we’ll waste that 1 or 2 hours chit chat abt everything.. happenings in lab.. gossips.. and our fav girl talk!

and back home at about 4 plus 5pm to rush our lab reports.. as usual.

recently, in my bahasa class, i got to know a pair of twins and they are also from my baahsa project group.. learning tari saman dance together.. hmm.. the twins are really cute and i tink they were the centre of attraction. they are a pair of bubbly twins.. and surprisingly, i was able to distinguish the twins at once.. very sure.. cos KW has long hair and KX has short hair.. haha.. but to differentiate their voices will be a challenge..

i tink it’s really cool to have a twin sis/ bro at times.. erm i mean sis.. a twin sis is better.. at least is just a mirror image of another.. ratherthan having a male version of me.. wahaha..someone to share ur clothes.. prob 24/7 companionship.. it’s pretty amazing how they can be studying in the same uni and same faculty together.. nature’s selection..

i really really wonder would the pair of twin sis marry a pair of twin bro and give birth to duplicates of ‘the-same-kind’.. and since it’s genetically inclined to give brith to twins when u r a twin urself.. so would they just multiply and multiply..?

i remember back in college, i had a friend thom, whose twin bro is called jerly.. yep.. tom & jerry.. haha.. they look identical lah! and there are a few encounters which i just embarrassed myself..i didnt know thom had a twin bro for they were frm diff class back then.. i remember i thought i was ’seeing things’ when i met one of them at the locker and another one of him again at the other end..

i was at the canteen at the and i smiled and say hi to the supposed thom.. and ended up getting a ‘weirdlook’ frm ‘him’.. and realised it wasnt thom.. it was jerly.. then another time, i was at the corridor when i met thom.. i stared at him dubiously for so long and the supposed jerly smiled and said ‘hi’ to me..yea.. that’s thom..

it’s so fun havin a twin sibling.. i can just get her to sit for my exams if she were smarter.. muah haha.. but if i were to have a bf who’s a twin or triplets like LS’s bf.. hmm.. prob i’ll have trouble recognising him then.. opps.. haha!

it’s been 2 years already.. i  was passing by SRC when i saw my friend’s photo in the nam wah pai cca.. she’s already some high level fighter .. haha.. in retrospect, i remember i was the one who influenced her in joining nam wah pai w me.. but in the end i ‘flew her aeroplane’.. haha..hard to blame on me.. cos i found it too guyish for me.. haha.. anyways.. it’s really diff to maintain a cca in nus..

haiz.. wk 9 has almost come to an end.. now in math lab with jun.. haha.. planning for grad trip .. either to taiwan or australia.. i’ll be ordering my academic dress nxt wk with the guys.. woo hoo! commencement 2007.. yeah!

later will be swimmin w edda agn.. and my bahasa dance performance later.. how exciting! hope everything will go well later…

apparatus:

1 250 ml cup, 1 spatula, heater, toaster, measuring cylinder

Procedure:

boil about 180ml of H2O..reflux

to 250ml cup add the bolied 180ml of H2O..followed by 2 spatulas of 3,7-trimetylxanthine, C8H10N4O2 (coffee powder).. or C20H20O9(tea)…..make sure the solution is homogenous upon stirring..next add 1 spatula of a-D-glucopytanosyl,beta-D-fructofuranoside, C12H22O (sugar), then add about 5ml of C39H76O6+C12H22O11+H2O(milk).. stir well and ENSURE THAT SOLUTION IS HOMOGENOUS..

toast 2 pieces of (C6H10O5)n..spread a small amount of C39H76O6(butter) or L-2,3-dihydroxybutandioic acid if u prefer..
