i screw my paper up again! ( as always..)
yup.. screw it up again.. last core module.. experimental chemistry.. i was super jaded after my biomolecules on sat.. and prob the mood was no longer there already… karen mak was vicious.. her past year papers were so damn easy.. like " what’s the bond to join 2 monosaccharides together?" it’s alpha 1,4 glycosidic… so A level standard right? and what the hell..
i was intimidated & daunted by her first qs on carbohydrates.. the entire trisaccharide was in A B C and we were supposed to CRACK the identity via the reactions and plane polarise stuff blah blah blah in prose form..
her last qs was the worst.. it was DNA sequencing.. and al the 5′ 3′ was confusing me.. until towards the end i was almost driven mad ny the protein synthesized.. and i thought the qs was wrongly phrased.. (cos it’s interlinked) and until i asked karen mak.. and she sort of hinted that my ans in the first part was wrong.. and she sneered at me.. behind my back.. i could see her shoulders shrugging with giggles.. well.. i was also confused in the end anyway with all the insertion deletion mutations.. ATCGCGTTACGGATAC……..and oh yea.. U in place of T in ribosomes………..nvm..
dr ship was so funny… i saw her last thur and she actually asked me for the photo we took on the last lecture.. haha.. well i did in the end.. hope she remembers my matric no in the nus email.. hahah.. and i met her in the lift today while on my way to the library.. she was like ‘hey it’;s you again!’.. i was like ‘yeah.. it’s me again.. and i forget to ask her for the hint later in the exams…
haha…actually the qs that the various leturers set was distinctive and typical of them.. when i saw prof goh there , he was my phy chem lect back in yr 1… i knew i was in for it… anyway.. it’s prob his last day with us aswell… he’s retiring while we all graduate…i’m going to miss the lectuers.. esp.. dr ship.. my self declared god mother and prof khoo.. my self declared god father.. wahaha!
daniel was as usual so hyped up after each paper.. and his bubbly nature somehow just playdown the moments that we brood over the paper… prob he’s kinda stressed recently.. fancy saying that smoking is ‘ gas chrmatography’ to him.. having the smoke as the mobile phase and the gullet as the stationary phase… well.. and we just brought up our topic of commencement.. and some how.. memories of us frm yr 1 just flashed across our minds..
hmm.. good lah.. daniel garry and kevin have all finshed their papers.. left me and stella still mugging for our bahasa this wed.. yay!
