back to the sci lbrary
heya!… it’s been a few months back since i last wrote some stuff about my library experience.. and actually it’s differnent every semester..u now.. different semesters.. new faces/
well.. for this semester’s pretty interesting.. there are more muggers in the library during the reading week.. where everyone will prepare for exams.. it’s very interesting to study in the library actually.. you can witness the differnet kinds of muggers…
firstly there are some pretty gals in the library.. well.. good things are for all to see,, nice to have them around… but some times i really wonder if they come to study in the library or to flaunt their beauty around… they are always nicely dressed.. with thick make up and just sashay down the aisle from time to time.. or rather all the time and fancy meetin them in the toilets to do touching up…
next we’ll have the perpetual yakkers.. and i meant PERPETUAL.. they can yak for hours in whispers .. then giggle… i mean the library has thus evolved to a discussion room.. or rather bitching corner…
there are also another kind of muggers.. mainly the kiasu ppl… more common in P*Cs who bring pillows to hug as they study, and what’s more prevalent in P*Cs is having tea leaves in their bottles.. what’s funny is that once i saw a girl empty a packet of milo powder mix into her water bottle and fill it up with hot water from the cooler outside lev 6 toilet and closed the lid and she.. shake the bottle……….
then there are ppl who bring in food into the library… and i’ll fall into this category..the most exaggerating example was me and my friends smuggled subway into the library… ran past the librarains and lay our food out right in the centre of the study table.. and munch.. like nobody’s business… when we saw weird stares around us.. we just brushed it off by saying.. ‘ah.. they’re just jealous we’ve gotta subway in the library..’ i also brought mac breakfast in the library too.. but the aroma was rather embarrassing.. so i brought it out to eat…..
there are also some who bring their laptops… put on their headphones… happily munching their choc and chips with their notes beside the laptop as they watch youtube….
then there will be this ‘phone area’ outside the toilet where all the phone hoggers hang out…
acutally the library is also very unhygenic .. no fresh air from outside.. stale air trapped in a small air con room… should anyone catch a flu.. most likely the rest surrounding wont escape either..
haha.. very interesting to study in the library actually.. muggers of all kinds…
finally 2 papers down today.. left with 3 more to go.. i was super confident for my medicine module today… prob my bio background.. i finshed it in 20 min.. and checked thru 2 times and left at 135pm… when it’s supposed to end at 3pm/.. haha.. record breaker..
i left the exam hall early to study for my IA module… and my ‘god mother ‘ and ‘god father’ ( my lecturers..self declared) loves to torment us by having a HALF open book exam.. only 2 pieces of pathetic 5" x 8" cards… cheat cards to be precise…and we had to practise wrtitng font size 2.5 with 0.2 pen nib… it’s freaky! i sort of screwed it up because the stuff that i wrote wasnt very useful….but the funny things is that daniel me stella kevin were estatic after our papers.. haha… prob.. it’s just us!
4 more days to mug for my bio molecules …. hmm…
